The botanic garden (Jardin Andalusi) of Casarabonela is well known for its collection of cactus plants, there are 2.500 species from all over the world.

Surrounded by mountains, there is one road into the village and one road out. Casarabonela is a bit further off the beaten track, but still located only 40 minutes (47 km.) from Málaga and the airport. The beaches of the Costa del Sol are a 45 minutes (62 km.) drive.
